I was born in New York in 1968, during a period of great ferment and change that marked my destiny and shaped my character. In those years, words like independence, female emancipation, freedom guided the movements of young people whose focus was oriented towards the future of their generation and of the planet. They were the flower children, the hippies who in recent years rediscovered and made the world rediscover the beauty of contact with nature, the intoxicating power of its elements and its benefits.

The world: constant olfactory inspiration
Experiences gave rise to my perfumes: the hippies of the 70s with their appeals to the East and their ancient wisdom that explode in touches of musk and the persistence of patchouli, the sunny beaches of summer holidays are transformed into vanilla pampering sprinkled with coconut and the most tender memories of childhood become liquid inside the powder bottles of White Musk.

The daughter of art

I was destined for art, and it runs through my veins, guiding me to the search for beauty, in all its forms. My father was Enrico Donati, an Italian artist belonging to the surrealist movement, and also an experimenter by birth, influenced by the important creative cycle that between the 1940s and 1960s had seen the rise of Andre Breton and Marcel Duchamp. My father married twice, and the second time was to the last heir of the historic Houbigant perfumery house, founded in Paris in 1775 and a large part of the history of perfumery, above all for its ability to experiment and innovate.

I was born into art and raised for art, my fragrances are the result of my family's wise art of perfumery, inspired by nature and the earth, mixed with the material element of everyday objects that can also be found in my father's works.

You can't know where you're going if you don't know where you came from! I carry with me my wealth of experiences and my history, in which new ideas are reworked and materialized day after day.
