Of oriental origin and known since ancient times, patchouli – from “patchai ellai”, meaning “green leaf” – is a Labiatae, a close relative of mint, sage, basil and lavender, which silk merchants used as a mothball. Thus, with the caravans, patchouli reached the West. Although, for a long time, no one thought of using it as a perfume. It was the pacifist revolution of the sixties that chose it for its anxiolytic properties and made it the appropriate essence to promote new states of consciousness. These are stories and journeys that we remember today only with memory. And with a touch of nostalgia.

For our Patchouli Essence, we have selected pure Patchouli essential oil, harmonized with the sensuality of Rose and Geranium, and refined by Vanilla, Amber and woody touches of Sandalwood and Guaiac.
